How Do I Vote?

 

Voting on referendum day

You can vote on referendum day - 24th April 2013 - at your parish or district polling station. The polls are open from 8.00 in the morning to 8.00 in the evening.

Voting if you are ill or disabled or illiterate

You can vote before or on referendum day if you are ill, disabled or illiterate.

Voting before referendum day

If you are unable to vote on referendum day, you can pre-poll vote from 8th April to 19th April, (9.00 am to 5.00 pm) and on 22nd April (9.00 am to 2.00 pm) at St. Paul’s Centre, Dumaresq Street, St. Helier.

 

 

Voting by post

If you will be out of the Island on referendum day, you can apply for a postal vote.

 

Registering to vote

 

You can register to vote if on 3rd April you are 16 or over and have lived in the Island for 2 years, or for 6 months plus a period that totals 5 years. You must ensure you are registered by noon on 3rd April 2013, when registration closes.
