Voting on the day

How to cast your vote on election day

When you arrive at the polling station you will be asked for your name, and you should have some identification with you, such as a driving licence, or a utility bill, just in case it is required.

You will then be asked which of the 3 elections you wish to vote in (Senators, Connétable or Deputies' elections). If you are going to vote in all 3 elections, you will receive 3 ballot papers to complete. If you decide you only wish to vote for Senators, you will be given only one ballot paper. It is important to note that if you only vote in one of the elections, you will be able to go back later in the day if you then decide you would like to vote in another of the 3 elections.

The 3 ballot papers will be three different colours, and each one goes into a different ballot box. Parish officials will be there to assist.
