In Jersey’s 2022 Election, for the first time, each Deputy will represent one of nine new electoral constituencies (in previous elections, Deputies represented a Parish or district within that Parish).
The new constituencies bring together less populated Parishes and there have been changes to the way in which the most populated Parish, St. Helier, is divided, creating three new constituencies. With each constituency roughly representing the same number of people, everyone is represented more fairly and no matter where you live, your vote carries the same weight.
