States Reject Reform Plans
P.18/2017 Draft States of Jersey (Amendment No.9) Law 201-
Following a long debate last week, the Draft States of Jersey (Amendment No.9) Law 201- (P.18/2017) was rejected by the States Assembly. This had sought to bring into effect major changes to the Island’s voting districts.
With the current system unchanged, Vote.je will be working hard to provide information to Islanders to make sure that everyone who is eligible to vote in Jersey at the next elections can cast their vote on 16th May 2018. We will help you to make sure you get on the electoral register, give you information about the candidates wanting to represent you and let you know how, when and where you can cast your vote. If you are thinking of standing as a States Member we will explain the process and provide some free publicity via Vote.je and within a manifesto leaflet delivered to all Island homes.
