Sunday 7 June – Be a Voter

Jersey is self-governing and makes its own laws and policies in the States Assembly – Jersey’s elected parliament.

The States Assembly is made up of 49 Members and all roles are voted on in elections every four years. The next election takes place on Sunday 7 June 2026.

You can be on the Electoral Register to vote if you:
  • Have lived in Jersey for the last 12 months (or have lived in Jersey for six months prior to 7 June 2026, as well as periods that total five years)
  • Are aged 16 or over

You can choose vote one of three ways:

  • By post or
  • At pre-poll or 
  • On Election Day
Members of the public entering polling station

You will be able to vote for 3 different types of States Member:

Senator – you can vote for up to nine candidates to represent the whole Island

Connétable (Constable) – you can vote for one candidate to represent your Parish

Deputy – you can vote for between two and four candidates depending on your constituency – see map.

  • Official announcement of election candidates

    27 April

  • Candidate Fayre - meet the candidates you can vote for

    29 April

  • Hustings - schedule to follow

    5 May - 3 June

  • Candidate video manifestos on Vote.je

    8 May

  • Printed manifestos delivered to all Island homes

    11 May

  • Early voting (pre-poll) at St Paul's Centre

    26 May - 1 June

  • Election Day - polling stations open 8am - 8pm

    7 June
