Jersey is self-governing and makes its own laws and policies in the States Assembly – Jersey’s elected parliament.
The States Assembly is made up of 49 Members and all roles are voted on in elections every four years. The next election takes place on Sunday 7 June 2026.
You can be on the Electoral Register to vote if you:
- Have lived in Jersey for the last 12 months (or have lived in Jersey for six months prior to 7 June 2026, as well as periods that total five years)
- Are aged 16 or over
You can choose vote one of three ways:
- By post or
- At pre-poll or
- On Election Day
