Everyone living in Jersey has both a Parish of residence and an electoral constituency.
When there is an election you can vote for the person you want as Constable to head up your Parish. You also vote for the Deputies who will represent your constituency.
Jersey is divided into 9 constituencies based on population size. Each constituency has roughly one Deputy per 3,000 residents. This means that you have between 3-5 Deputies representing your constituency, depending on where you live.
Use the Constituency Finder to confirm which constituency you live in. In between elections, it will tell you who your Parish Constable and your constituency Deputies are. Immediately before an election, it will show the candidates standing for election in your constituency and Parish of residence.
