Jersey is at risk of losing my generation. Young people who grew up here, or came here and built their lives, are being priced out, and that should worry all of us. I’m standing for St. Helier Central because I want an island where people can afford to stay, put down roots, and build a future.

My background is both technical and hands-on. I hold a Master’s degree in Cyber Security and have worked as an analyst at C5 Alliance and Logicalis, and as Technology Security Officer for the Co-Op. But I’ve also worked in a taxi office and as a delivery driver. I’ve seen Jersey from the boardroom and the delivery route.

Jersey is too expensive, and the problem goes far beyond the weekly shop. The cost of living is squeezing individuals and families across the Island. Government spending is rising without enough discipline, with emergency funding absorbed into day-to-day costs while critical services go underinvested. At the same time, regulation makes it harder than it should be to start or grow a business. These are connected problems, and they need a focused, joined-up response.

St. Helier is the retail heart of this island, and its high street deserves real competition and lower prices. From the cost of the weekly shop to the cost of getting a mortgage, Islanders are paying more than they should. That’s why I’m standing alongside other independent candidates with a shared goal: making Jersey genuinely more affordable. Smarter regulation in key markets, real competition in retail, and a government that stops wasting public money can change that.

No single politician can fix this, and I won’t pretend otherwise. It takes an Assembly willing to work together with focus and purpose, and Jersey has every reason to be optimistic that it can. We just need politicians who are serious about delivering.

My background in technology gives me a practical perspective on government systems. Decades of fragmented, unplanned spending have created a patchwork of outdated and incompatible systems at enormous cost. Reforming this is one of the clearest opportunities we have to spend public money more effectively and redirect it into frontline services.

A more affordable Jersey. A more efficient government. A stronger future for local business. That’s what I’m fighting for, and I’d value your support.
