Jersey means everything to me. Born and raised in St Lawrence, I’ve lived most of my life in our island and have seen it change in many ways.

Through it all, and despite the many challenges ahead, I believe that Jersey is an island of opportunity.

During my eight years in the States, I’ve been strong, resilient, and decisive, but there are no easy decisions in government and not everyone will agree. However, I always act with the aim of protecting Jersey from future costs or to expand opportunities for islanders.

I’ve learned a lot and want to take that experience into a new States Assembly, where it will be invaluable as we move the island forward.

Only by growing and diversifying our economy will we pay for the healthcare of our older population whilst creating opportunities so younger islanders believe they can build their lives here.

Our Past Guides Our Future

At the heart of our success lies our heritage. As a small island, we stand alone, but our history shows that we succeed in adapting to a changing world when we work for and support each other.

If elected, I will work for:

Growing and diversifying our economy, so we can invest in healthcare and give reasons for young people to build their lives here.

Our public facilities, creating an island we’re proud of.

An efficient, digitally enabled, caring public service that doesn’t lose our records.

Our environment; improving Jersey’s environment and reducing our dependence on oil.

Mental health services that meet growing demand.

A Jersey-focused education system that offers lifelong learning.

Links with France and Europe so we can benefit from a wider choice of goods, prices and experiences.

Tourism – including lower alcohol duties in bars and restaurants.

Better data – improving services and efficiency.

AI and online safety – protecting us all in the modern world.

As a Minister, I have delivered in many areas:

A future for farming: In 2018, farming was struggling. Today, we have 60 new farmers, protecting our parish landscapes and food security.

A better-connected island: New flights to Paris, Amsterdam, Dublin, Bordeaux.

Stronger ties with Brittany and Normandy, helping Jersey trade within its own geographic region.

Investment in Jersey’s businesses and reducing red tape.

Investment in arts and heritage: A revitalised Opera House, Jersey’s first professional ballet, free museum entry, and Jersey’s first free public art gallery.

I’ve done this and more while reducing my department’s spend.

I am a deputy who fights for Jersey, stands strong and is focused on dealing with our long-term challenges. With your support, I’ll work tirelessly for you, your family, and our future.

Let’s create Jersey’s future today!
