St Helier is more than where I work – it’s where I was born, where I’m raising my family and where I’m fully invested in shaping its future. Having received 2,166 votes in the previous election, I remain grateful for your support. With that encouragement, I’m once again standing as your independent candidate for Constable of St Helier, and ask for your trust once more.

An electrician and Director of two businesses, I bring practical experience and business skills to serve the parish effectively. If elected, my business partner will oversee operations, allowing me to serve St Helier.

I have a proven commitment to our parish. Member of St Helier’s Accounts Committee and former Centenier, these voluntary roles have given me valuable insight into how the parish operates – how decisions are made, money is spent and where improvements are needed.

You deserve a Constable who is accountable, listens to you, and challenges decisions that are not in the best interests of St Helier. I will always put the parish first and provide transparent, dedicated and inclusive representation.

Priorities:

  • Your Voice Heard –Parish Assembly attendance remains low. I will explore options for online attendance/voting so every parishioner can have their say.
  • Responsible Finances – Rates have risen by 16.6% over four years due to neighbourhood improvements & rising service costs. I will ensure careful financial management, scrutinise spending and demand value for money.
  • Caring for Our Community –Investment in the Town Church, St Ewold’s, Westmount Nursery and Honorary Police – protecting services we depend on.
  • Disabled Access & Awareness – Enhance road/pavement surfaces. Work with businesses to improve accessibility and shopping experiences.
  • Investing in Young People –Expand apprenticeship opportunities and initiatives that support and inspire youngsters.
  • Parking & Roads – Improve parking provisions, reduce congestion and improve roads/pavement conditions.
  • Protecting Our Environment –Endorse resources that protect our green spaces.

Island Views:

  • Government Spending – Government must adopt a more disciplined approach to spending, prioritising services, rebuilding reserve funds and avoid unnecessary costs i.e. Gloucester Street bus-lane.
  • Cost of Living –GST should be removed from food and medicines, and stealth taxes on fuel.
  • Education – Schools are running at high deficits and must be funded adequately by Government.
  • Future Workforce – Declining birth rates will impact schools, services and workforce. Jersey must remain self sufficient and sustainable.
  • Healthcare – The new Hospital must be accelerated to meet growing demands.

It would be a privilege to serve as Constable, your ‘father of the parish’. Representing you with energy, integrity and commitment.

Your vote counts and will help shape St Helier’s future.
