I have served previously in the position between 2005 and 2011 and from 2018 to present and believe that I have a credible record. I am supported in this by a significant number of dedicated staff to whom I’m extremely grateful.  I was elected as Chairman of the Comite des Connétables, reflecting the trust placed in my leadership

I was born and raised in St. Brelade and my background and training is in the marine leisure industry having qualified in Yacht and Boatyard management in Southampton. I am the proprietor of a boatyard and marine shop in St. Aubin which also incorporates a community post office. The business has traded for 50 years and employs a valued team across various roles. This experience has given me a clear understanding of the challenges faced by small businesses and the vital contribution they make to the economy and local community life.

Family is very important to me. My son Will is a Master Mariner with Jersey Coastguard and has a young son, Aiden. My daughter Laura lives in the United States, working as a flight attendant and has a daughter Tilly. I am immensely proud of them all.

I firmly believe that stability is what most people value, particularly in uncertain times. With ongoing global economics challenges, it is essential that we maintain a steady and measured approach in parish leadership. I am committed to providing that stability, avoiding unrealistic promises and focusing instead on preserving and strengthening the Parish in a way that reflects the wishes of its residents.

Investment in infrastructure remains a key priority. Much of this work is unseen but essential, particularly as climate change is expected to bring periods of increased rainfall. We must ensure that our systems ae resilient to prevent future risks.

Our education system continues to evolve, and it is vital that we invest in our teaching staff to meet the needs of modern society. Similarly, the long-awaited construction of a new hospital must progress without delay, for the benefit of patients and the dedicated healthcare professionals who serve them.

A strong police presence is fundamental to community wellbeing. I have been privileged to serve as a Centenier and now as head of the Parish Honorary Police team,a role that I take great pride in.

St. Brelade is a ‘family parish’ supporting all generations. My role is to serve the people and help enable their aspirations.

It would be a great honour to continue serving as your Connétable and representing you in the States Assembly.
