Serving St Saviour since June 2022 has been an honour and a responsibility.

I am British Romanian and have lived in Jersey for over 17 years. My husband and I raised our two daughters in the Parish while running our popular restaurant in Howard Davis Park, understanding first-hand the pressures families and small businesses face and the need for a secure future here.

I bring over 20 years of experience in customer service, project management, banking, and business development and a background in economics. Since being elected, I have turned community voices into action.

Key Achievements

I have championed community support by helping parents of premature and sick newborns secure additional paid leave, securing £1m for wound dressings and medical hosiery, and strengthening youth programmes. I have advanced housing and development policy reviews, supporting equality, early years care, and family initiatives. Through education and partnerships, I have promoted language integration and collaboration with Romania and France.

On infrastructure and safety, I have worked on safer school routes, road improvements, traffic calming, and upgraded public facilities.

At the parish level, I have organised community events and supported residential parking, youth activities, allotments, and community spaces, some still a work in progress, which I am committed to pushing forward.

My work has earned recognition, including “Commonwealth New Parliamentarian of the Year 2024” and Public Services’ “Community Champion Award 2021.”

With Reform Jersey, we have delivered free GP visits, cheaper bus fares for young people, stronger renters’ rights, expanded Pension Plus, and free childcare for 2–3 year-olds.

Looking Ahead

  • Address the cost of living (my GST off food debate lost 17–28), by backing local farming, cutting freight costs, promoting Jersey produce, improving price transparency, and supporting fair taxation.
  • Expand access to home ownership and social housing, support young people to stay or return, and help older residents downsize.
  • Strengthen health: primary care, prevention, reduce waiting times, and improve access to essential services.
  • Improve bus transport, safer school routes, traffic calming, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Invest in community spaces & wellbeing, youth opportunities, accessible services and protect vulnerable islanders.
  • Support future economy, local business, grow fintech, sustainable finance and innovation.
  • Modernise public services, improve digital systems, invest in skills, and strengthen transparency, efficiency and accountability.
  • Support sustainable growth, local industry, improve energy efficiency and reduce red tape.

Policy must reflect Jersey’s realities: small size, high costs, housing pressures, and political fragmentation. I focus on practical solutions using government support, community action, and smart spending.

For a Deputy who listens, acts, and delivers, vote Raluca Kovacs and Reform Jersey. Stronger together.
