After 56 years living in Trinity, I am standing for Connétable because I care deeply about our parish. I want to give it the time and attention it deserves, with a practical, can-do approach and a willingness to listen.

I have served Trinity for 17 years through the Honorary Police as a Constable’s Officer, Vingtenier and Centenier. As a result of serving the Island Municipality, I have a very good understanding of Jersey’s Parochial System. I have also supported the Poppy Appeal and Liberation celebrations. That service has helped me understand what matters to people in Trinity and what keeps our parish strong. Trinity is where my life has been lived, and it is the parish I want to serve.

I am married, my wife is a teacher, and we have one son, who works as a doctor. I have worked for the States of Jersey for 47 years, and public service has been my working life.

If elected, I will treat this as a full commitment and devote my time to Trinity. I will be available, involve parishioners in decisions, and make good use of Parish Assemblies. I will  review parish spending and financial commitments so ratepayers can see clearly how money is managed.

My priorities are straightforward. I want Trinity to remain a good place to grow up and grow older. I want to review road safety around the school, Parish Hall and church with those most affected. Slower speeds at school times make sense, but the current 20mph limit applies at all times. I would bring residents, the school and parents together, look at what is working, and work towards changes that keep safety first and win local support.

I support exploring affordable housing, particularly for people with real ties to Trinity, with consultation and respect for the parish’s character. I want more young people involved in parish life, not just invited to events but listened to. I would like to explore allotments or a community growing space in Trinity if suitable land and a workable approach can be found. Done carefully, this could provide fresh food, outdoor activity and neighbourly support while protecting Trinity’s countryside and natural beauty. I would also like to explore more sociable spaces for our senior citizens.

In the States Assembly, I am keen to represent parishioners’ interests in debates on important matters like population, housing, education and health, all of which have an enormous impact on our lives.

I am standing because Trinity matters to me, and I will work hard to serve the parish with fairness and respect. If you want someone approachable and committed to Trinity, I would be grateful for your vote.
