I am standing for Connétable because I care deeply about protecting what makes our parish special. As Connétable, I will represent St Lawrence both at parish level and in the States Assembly, ensuring our parish voice is heard clearly in island-wide decisions.

For more than 35 years, my working life has been dedicated to supporting Islanders — helping people find employment, guiding young people as they begin their careers, and working alongside businesses as they grow and adapt. Through my roles on the Employment Forum, Skills Board and with Highlands College, I have contributed to employment legislation and skills strategies that support families and businesses across Jersey. I have also been an active Rotarian for over 20 years, including serving as President, and I am proud to be a founding member of the Island of Longevity initiative.

What matters most to me is people. Through my voluntary work and community involvement, I have seen first-hand how neighbours support one another and how strong parish leadership makes a real difference.

My parents and grandparents were Jersey-born and lived in the parish, and I am proud of that heritage. St Lawrence is where I live and where my family lives too. It is a parish with a strong rural character, a proud history and a real sense of community that many of us value deeply.

Our parish faces important challenges, including cost-of-living pressures, planning and development decisions, support for older parishioners, opportunities for young families and ensuring local businesses continue to thrive. I will ensure parish services remain efficient, financially responsible and responsive to parishioners’ needs.

As Connétable, I will listen carefully, communicate openly and represent parishioners with fairness and balance both in the parish and in the States Assembly. I believe leadership should be approachable, practical and transparent, and your Connétable should always put Parish and Community First.

My priorities for St Lawrence are:

  • Strengthening community connections and supporting organisations, volunteers, young people, families and older parishioners
  • Providing open, approachable and transparent leadership with clear communication and regular engagement
  • Supporting parishioners through cost-of-living pressures by ensuring parish services remain compassionate and accessible
  • Protecting the rural character of St Lawrence through thoughtful development that respects countryside and green spaces
  • Improving road safety by working with the Honorary Police and relevant authorities to address traffic concerns

As an independent candidate, I believe your Connétable should always represent the parish first and foremost. If elected, I will work hard every day to serve St Lawrence with integrity, openness and commitment.
