The JEA would like to clarify that the only source of official information about the Jersey elections 2026 is on vote.je.

We have not reviewed or approved anything relating to any surveys designed to identify preferred candidates. The JEA is obliged to remain impartial.

It has been suggested by a candidate associated with Value Jersey that the JEA was “very satisfied” with meetings with Value Jersey. These were fact-finding meetings, as Value Jersey was aware, and no such conclusions were reached by the JEA. The JEA does not have any remit or power to make decisions about these matters.

The candidates have all agreed to abide by the code of conduct which is available on the Vote.je website. This extends to their supporters. The JEA is empowered to deal with any complaints made by a candidate in respect of the conduct of another candidate or any other person acting in a statutory role in respect of the elections.

After the election, the JEA is required to produce a report to the Privileges and Procedures Committee recommending changes to the law and practice relating to elections. These are likely to include, amongst other things, matters relating to political movements.
