Due to public demand, the Candidate Fayre on Wednesday 29 April is now open to the public during the day, as well as the evening. Voters can meet 2026 Election Candidates standing for Senator, Connétable and Deputy during the following times:

  • 10.30am – 12.30pm
  • 1.30pm – 4.00pm
  • 6.00pm – 8.00pm

Islanders can book their preferred time slot in advance on Eventbrite.

The event takes place at Oakfield Sports Centre on Wellington Hill in St Saviour. During the day, a free bus will be shuttling between Liberation Station and the Fayre at Oakfield as parking is not available on campus. Bus times can be found on Vote.je.

Students from across a range of schools and colleges will also be attending throughout the day, encouraged to meet and question the candidates standing in their respective constituencies.

Jenny O’Brien, Head of Digital and Public Engagement at the States Greffe, said “We’re really excited about bringing together candidates and voters in this way for the first time. We hope it will provide the opportunity for meaningful 1-2-1 conversations that will help voters when deciding who they are most aligned with when it comes to Election Day on Sunday 7 June.

“By widening the public hours, our aim is to allow as many people as possible to attend the Fayre and meet the candidates.”
