Who we are
Vote.je is the official guide to voting and standing for election to the States Assembly – Jersey’s elected parliament.
Site operator: Vote.je team, managed by staff from the Digital and Public Engagement at the States Greffe, which provides administrative and clerical support to the States Assembly.

Purpose of the Site
The Site provides information about elections, voter registration, candidates, polling stations, constituencies and democratic participation in Jersey. It is for information only and not legal advice. For legal questions, you should seek independent legal advice or consult the relevant legislation.
Impartiality and elections
We aim to provide accurate, impartial, and up‑to‑date information. During election periods, we apply strict neutrality in line with Jersey’s electoral rules. Any candidate or party information published or linked is for public information only and does not constitute endorsement. If you believe any content is inaccurate or not impartial, please email us at contact@vote.je with details.
Eligibility and access
The Site is intended for general public use, and we aim to ensure that information on the Site is accessible and available at all times. We work to maintain a reliable service and to keep the information we publish continuously accessible. However, like any online service, there may be occasions when access is temporarily unavailable due to essential maintenance, technical issues, or updates. Where possible, we will schedule maintenance to minimise disruption and restore full access promptly. You may use the Site only in accordance with these Terms and relevant laws. We reserve the right to make changes to the Site to improve performance, accuracy, or accessibility.
Accuracy of information
We work to ensure that the content on the Site is accurate, up to date, and clearly presented. However, information is provided for general guidance only and may be subject to change. Timelines, locations, and processes (for example, polling stations, hustings locations) may occasionally be updated. Where this happens, the information on the Site and in official Vote.je printed publications will reflect the most current details.
Your responsibilities and acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for unlawful purposes or in ways that could damage, disable, or impair it.
- Introduce malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or probe/test the Site’s security without permission.
- Scrape or harvest data at scale without prior written consent (reasonable indexing by search engines is permitted).
- Misrepresent the Site’s content, impersonate Vote.je, or imply endorsement where none exists.
We may take actions we deem appropriate for any breach, including reporting to law enforcement.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, we own the intellectual property rights in the Site and its content.
- Text and editorial content: All rights reserved unless a specific licence is stated.
- Logos, crests, and branding: May not be used without prior written permission.
- Election data downloads: Election results published as downloadable files (such as Excel spreadsheets) may be reused for research, reporting, and personal or non‑commercial purposes. If a specific licence is included with a dataset, that licence will apply.

You may link to our public pages in a fair and legal way that does not damage our reputation or suggest endorsement. We may withdraw linking permission without notice. You may link directly to specific pages or downloadable documents on the Site. However, some links may change or be removed when content is updated.
